Kāpu Māja

Set among the pines of the Jūrmala coast, the house is organised as a sequence of horizontal planes that follow the fall of the dune. Timber screens temper the western sun while the living spaces dissolve into the garden through full-height glazing.

Materials were chosen to weather gracefully — larch, lime render and honed limestone — so that the building grows quieter with every salt-laden winter.
